Cancellation and Refund Policy

A $35 administration fee will be applied to all approved refunds.

Cancellation for medical reasons

Full or partial refund with a medical certificate for each workshop missed.

Cancellation for other reason

Two weeks or more prior to the start of the session: total refund (minus administration fees)
Less than 2 weeks prior to start of the session: 50% of the cost of the session (minus administration fees)
Two weeks or more after the start of the session: no refund

Minimum Registration Numbers

If the minimum of students is not reached by the registration deadline, EXPLORUM may cancel the session.

For EXPLORation workshops, payment for the minimum number of students is required.

Special needs

Certain projects are suitable for students with special needs. Please contact the administration of EXPLORUM to discuss the specific needs of the students. A personal assistant/accompanying person may be required.

Absence or cancellations due to bad weather

Students will not be able to make up missed experiments and EXPLORUM does not provide a refund for missed days except with a medical certificate. In case of school closure because of weather conditions, the session will be extended by a week to make up the missed workshop.

Language of delivery

Workshops will be delivered in the requested language (French or English). In case of last-minute absence of a French speaking workshop leader, the workshops may be delivered in French.

Workshop cancellation

In rare instances – emergency situations, EXPLORUM may decide to cancel the workshop. In case of cancellation, the workshop will be rescheduled at a time suitable for the school/daycare and EXPLORUM. If a suitable time cannot be found, EXPLORUM will refund the cost of the cancelled workshop.
