Today, October 10, is Mental Health Day. It was created by the World Federation of Mental
Health (WFMH) to bring awareness to mental health issues everywhere. People around the
world struggle with mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, stress and through coaching
and mental health strategies, we can overcome them, and start to heal fractured minds.
Emotional and mental well-being is so important, and we should all be respectful of people’s
conditions. What kind of things can cause mental illness? Many factors can impact people’s
mental conditions, and these can change overtime. Some common factors include trauma,
abuse, shock, ongoing medical conditions, biological factors, and loneliness. It's crucial that
we take others feelings and problems seriously to make people feel respected and cared
for.
